I (Richard Hart) am a British photographer specialising in portraiture, fashion and interiors. I have recently moved to Huntington Beach, Orange County, California, USA, The World, The Universe!

Most of the work I do is portraiture. About 500 portrait sessions, in the last year. I love working with all types of people and sparking a connection always makes work refreshing. I love to find out about people and understand who they are. The more I know, understand and love my subjects, the more I want to create portraiture that represents how wonderful they are. I like to make my subjects have a great time, feel great and of course create diverse and unique imagery. I hope to capture emotion, character and expression.

My pledge (hand is now on my heart) is to be creative, entertaining and inspiring. I aim to be unique (avoiding cliches) ground breaking whilst of course making my clients look the best! I am always learning new techniques and developing ideas.

I have had work featured in the "Sunday Times" on multiple occasions and in "Project Magazine". Henk Van Kooten, President of "Master Photographers Association (MPA) graded my portfolio at a staggering 90%

I have worked in about 60 countries and have some of my portfolio available for stock library. I have a vast collection of 360 vr images which work amazingly on the iPad. If you wish to license these or commission pieces, please get in touch directly!

I love being creative! I love to develop ideas and to create something new. Other professional work experience includes graphic design, web design, video production, editorial writing! Other work can be seen on the old site. I get excited about all projects. A personal philosophy is "it's not what you have, but what you do with it that counts!"

My heroes are James Bond and Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl and Woody Allen. I have been influenced above others, photographers Nick Knight, Solve Sundsbo, David Bailey, Warren Du Preez & Nick Thornton Jones, Terry O'Neil, Guy Bourdin, Henk Van Kooten, Diver & Aguilar. There are many others around me who inspire, influence and offer valuable criticism.
